How to Turn Your Body Into Light
I just came from watching some videos about God made by my incredible teacher, Dr. Pillai.
I hadn’t planned to write this. God knows there’s a list long enough of busy works: an article for an astrology magazine, a meeting, a subscriber email, updates for my loyal followers in the hope that they’ll enjoy their weekend through more inspiration and ease. And also, a list of other (less exciting) tasks.
But I was moved to write about light.
Also, I realized that when you study with a real master you don’t get to stay the same…you might even give up some of your favorite activities. Because your taste and interests change.
What grows? The love you feel. A healthy self-respect. Abundance. Well-being. Enjoyment of beauty, nature, music, without getting stuck.
I know that many today are weary of gurus, due to too many scandals about ignorant gurus that haven’t done any real spiritual work.
But a real guru removes darkness…or ignorance, and brings out the light in you. For the last 12 years, I’ve had such a guru—he has awakened the light in his students. And the thought that we’re light, photon light (not material or physical at all) now makes sense.
What Is Light?
According to Dr. Pillai, light is intelligence.
If you’re a regular meditator, you know that after some time you’ll have an experience of light or visions of light beings.
After circa 30 years of meditation (like me), you’ll have a lot of experiences.
I usually don’t like sharing my meditation experiences.
Maybe it’s because the great majority of the world is run by the material, financial, sensual, practical, obsessive, collective machine. We all experience this voracious machine, more or less.
And even very good-natured people dismiss spiritual experiences. They call them “anecdotal,” the term of choice for the scientifically minded.
But real scientists (meaning with an open mind to experiment) return to God. Think of Einstein.
Once, two of my beautiful, smart, creative and wealthy friends literally laughed in my face when I told them about a miracle received.
I think that’s because we mostly get nervous about what we don’t understand.
Anyway…here I’m talking about meditation experiences because I think that the recent heartbreaking events in 2020 have changed us.
Whether it was the global shutdown, then the collapse of world economies, fear of disease, more fear of all kinds…natural irritation for our reduced freedom of traveling, socializing or the incredible sorrow of losing a loved one, changed we are.
I believe that we’ll never be the same, for better or worse. As the yogis say: When you have nowhere to go, you go within.
You might even find God there. Because you’re divine.
Light at Play
I used to see light in my meditations. Once the light was playing in my brain…it made me laugh.
I realized that my breathing had stopped.
I didn’t know that light can be so playful, pure, innocent, like a child at play, and give you so much energy that you don’t need to breathe.
Of course, I knew that yogis can stop their breaths, and I’d also felt that before. But this light playing around was amazing.
So the light came in meditation whenever it wanted.
Of course, I also guided many, many students to visualizing light in deeper meditation.
But recently thanks to more advanced studies with my Guru, I can call the light. Gone is the effort to visualize light and keep it.
In a second, I can see myself as a light body.
If you’re like, “Why would you want a light body?” you’re not alone.
But the light body has been called across all wisdom traditions the ultimate transformation, and desirable evolution.
Jesus, the Tamil Siddha masters (truly perfected yogis with siddhis or supernatural powers), Buddhists monks, and other spiritual masters have turned their flesh and blood into a light body.
This means returning to your true nature…nothing more, nothing less.
Imagine having a light body, going wherever you want, and doing whatever you want. No disease, no aging, no need for money, no busy work.
You could meet others in their light body, masters, angels and other celestial beings. You would have supernormal powers.
You’d be always safe and protected.
You might even decide to return temporarily into a human form to help others or have an experience that you’d missed…but this time without getting lost in the Samsara or wheel of incarnation, which is mostly mindless, according to the yogis of India
You may want to try and call on the light. Play with it. Experience it. Enjoy it.
“Matter is light slowed down.”
